The new generation continues to make spiritual progress - mostly. Even when they grumble and the Lord sends fiery serpents, they repent. We also see them have success in their first military victories and begin to possess small portions of land. God is providing, protecting and strengthening them - just as He promised! So then, why do we also doubt His provison, protection and strengthening promises to us???
